Special Worship Services at First Presbyterian Church
Annual Blessing of the Animals Service
We celebrate the blessing and companionship of all God’s creatures at this annual outdoor worship service. Should the weather not cooperate, this service will be moved indoors and humans AND animals will be welcomed inside to Fellowship Hall.
An overall blessing of all animals present is included as part of the worship service, and individual blessings are offered following the service.
UPDATE for 2020 Blessing of the Animals - - - We are not able to hold our traditional Blessing of the Animals Service in person, but will still have a Virtual Blessing of the Animals as part of our online service on Sunday, June 14th at 9:30am. We will be joined by our special guest Tracy Newhouse, Volunteer Director for the EC Humane Association.

Kirkin' O' the Tartans Service
Shake out your kilt and dust off your bagpipes – it’s time to celebrate our unity as God’s family and the Scottish heritage the Presbyterian Church.
All are invited to participate in this special worship service that includes playing of traditional Scottish hymns accompanied by bag pipe and presentation of family tartans to be blessed. Scotland is the birthplace and stronghold of the Presbyterian Church, and First Presbyterian Church of Eau Claire has a direct link to Scotland as Rev. William McNair, who established our church, was from Scotland. Join us Sunday, October 29th at 10:30am for our next Kirk’in O’ the Tartans Worship Service followed by a Scottish tea! And don't forget to wear your plaid!
