Christian Education & Faith Formation

Our Faith Formation theme this year is "Connected!"  It is all about connecting with God, and with each other.

ALL AGES are invited to join us during the Sunday School hour at 9:00am on Sunday mornings this fall before worship.  This year the children and youth will use a new curriculum called, "Seasons of the Spirit."  We'll explore all that "Seasons of the Spirit" has to offer as an intergenerational group on September 10th, 17th, and 24th.  Then in October we will divide into separate classes by age.

Come connect with us as we seek to connect with God together!

Our fully staffed nursery is available for children under 5 years of age and is located on the upper level. Nursery care is available to any  parents or guardians participate in Sunday worship, Sunday educational programming, or special events.

Our friendly caregivers will provide you with a pager that can be used throughout the church builiding in case they need to reach you while your child(ren) is in their care.

Preschool (3-5yrs)

When we are not running specialized joint programming for all ages, preschool children ages 3-5yrs  meet in the ROBIN'S NEST Room (Upper Level) to hear Bible stories and learn about God through fun and creative activities.

Elementary (K-5th)

When we are not running specialized joint programming for all ages, elementary aged children in Kindergarten through 5th grade participate in the Faith Forest Rotational Workshop in various classrooms on the upper level.  They learn Bible stories experientally through art, games, drama, nature, technology, science, cooking and storytelling.

Middle School (6-8th)

& High School (9-12th)

When we are not running specialized joint programming for all ages, middle and high school students will have a variety of educational opportunities available on Sunday mornings. They might be working in small groups, helping to lead the younger classes, or even join the adult education classes for special topics or discussions.

Please visit the FPC Youth Group page for more information about activities and events for middle and high school youth.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation is a time for individuals to explore their faith, learn about the Christian and Presbyterian traditions, and grow in community with one another.

When a child is baptized in a Presbyterian Church, the parents and the whole church make vows to lovingly raise that child in the Christian faith. When you reach a certain age (in our church it’s 8th grade or older), you are given the opportunity through Confirmation to claim that faith as your own.

We typically hold Confirmation classes every other year.   Eighth grade students, or older, are encouraged to participate and will be matched with an adult mentor.

Adult Opportunities

When we are not runningspecialized joint programming for all ages, adult Sunday school classes are typically held downstairs in Fellowship Hall. These classes will vary depending on the type of series we are working through.  In the past we have enjoyed video series discussions, special guests and speakers, or book studies.

In addition to Sunday morning, you can explore and participate in a variety of other faith formation opportunities for adults throughout the week.  Please visit our  Groups & Gatherings page under the Connecting tab for more information.

Intergenerational Opportunities (ALL AGES!)

We provide a variety of activities, programming, and serving opportunities throughout the year that bring everyone together to connect with God, connect with each other, and to connect with nature as we grow together in our faith journey.

This fall we are excited to join all ages as we explore our "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum together.

Stay tuned for more intergenerational opportunities where we can learn and serve together throughout the year.

During the summer, we also host our own unique version of Vacation Bible School (also known as VBS) that is open to ALL! It is a nature based faith workshop for children, adults, families, individuals and everyone in between.  Watch for more details in the spring.
